Pediatric Ophthalmology

Care for your children's eyes with love and attention

With specialized pediatric ophthalmology, VISION offers high-quality, comprehensive, and professional eye care for children of all ages – from newborns to adolescents. Our specialists use equipment specifically designed for this age group to provide precise diagnostics and effective treatment for a wide range of eye diseases and conditions.

Early diagnosis is key to the proper development of the visual system and allows us to correct certain problems or prevent further deterioration by detecting them in time.

That is why we are dedicated to providing accurate and reliable results in an environment designed specifically for the comfort and well-being of your children.

Key Stages To Check Their Eyes

  • 6 months old
  • 3 and 4 years of age
  • 6 and 7 years of age – if everything is fine with your child’s eyes at the previous check-ups, our pediatric ophthalmologist will recommend their eyes get checked again before they start school.
  • After that, once school starts, it’s advisable to have preventive check-ups every one to two years.

These are key stages in the development of a child’s vision.

  • Early eye examinations are extremely important because a child’s visual system develops most intensively during the first years of life. An undetected and uncorrected problem during this period can lead to permanent vision impairment, which may be difficult or impossible to treat later in life.
  • For children whose parents have vision problems, or if a problem is identified during one of these eye exams, the timing of subsequent visits and follow-up care will be determined by our pediatric ophthalmologgist.
