Procedure
PresbyMAX is a non-contact laser procedure that involves no incisions and no implantation of an intraocular lens. It can significantly reduce or completely eliminate the need for reading glasses.
The procedure is performed using one of the most precise laser platforms in the world – the SCHWIND AMARIS excimer laser. With the help of specially developed software, the laser precisely reshapes the surface of the cornea, allowing the eye to focus better at near, intermediate, and far distances. This creates an extended depth of focus, enabling the eye to see clearly at different distances while preserving three-dimensional vision.
The procedure is quick, painless, and performed on an outpatient basis. Topical anesthetic eye drops are used, so no pain is felt during the procedure. No hospital stay is required, and patients leave with prescribed eye drops to use at home.
Patients can return to their daily activities after a short recovery period.
