Preparing for the procedure

At VISION, we strive to provide the best possible outcomes, but achieving them requires following some basic recommendations before undergoing an eye procedure.

Before any procedure, the patient must undergo a comprehensive eye examination using highly specialized equipment and have a consultation with our specialists. During the examination, the doctor will explain in detail the most suitable procedure for you, the expected results, possible side effects, and recommendations for preparation and aftercare.

Inform your doctor about your medical history:

  • chronic illnesses
  • previous eye diseases or surgeries
  • medications you are taking
  • allergies

Please bring, if available:

  • a medical report from a previous visit to an eye specialist
  • hospital discharge summaries (epicrises)
  • any test results you have, including advanced or imaging diagnostics
  • other relevant medical documentation
  • your prescription glasses, if you wear any

If you wear contact lenses, you will need to remove them.

On the day of the procedure:

  • Do not use makeup around your eyes
  • Do not apply creams, lotions, or other cosmetics
  • It is advisable to be accompanied by a close person if the procedure involves anesthesia

Following these recommendations reduces the risk of complications and helps ensure a quicker recovery. If you have any questions or need additional information, our team is here to help!
