Dr Tsveta Ivanova is a vitreoretinal surgeon with extensive international experience in treating conditions affecting the retina and vitreous. She is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal Surgeon at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, the second-largest eye hospital in the UK, and a visiting specialist at VISION.
Dr Ivanova has performed over 9,000 operations. Her clinical expertise includes retinal detachment, macular conditions, eye trauma, intraocular foreign bodies, severe intraocular infections and complex cataract cases. She also has experience in treating vitreoretinal conditions in children.
Before joining Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, Dr Ivanova worked as a Consultant Vitreoretinal Surgeon at Royal Stoke University Hospital, where she led the vitreoretinal department, and at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
Dr Ivanova holds a PhD. Her research work includes more than 50 publications and numerous presentations at national and international conferences.
