ATOS®

High-tech femtosecond laser platform for refractive surgery

SCHWIND ATOS® is a femtosecond laser used for two vision-correction procedures: SmartSight NOVA® and LASIK.

During SmartSight NOVA®, the laser creates a thin layer of tissue within the cornea, which the surgeon then removes through a small incision. During LASIK, ATOS creates a corneal flap, after which the vision correction is performed using an excimer laser (SCHWIND AMARIS).

The system assists with precise centration and control during the laser procedure. The most appropriate procedure is determined following a comprehensive eye examination, taking into account the individual characteristics of the patient’s eyes and their visual needs.
