EIDON – Fundus Camera

Ultra-sharp, distortion-free retinal images with cutting-edge technology

A fundus camera is used to capture colour images of the back of the eye. The device takes a wide-angle photograph of the retina, the retinal blood vessels, the optic nerve head, the macula and the posterior pole (i.e. the fundus). This allows the presence of pathological changes to be documented down to the smallest detail, as well as enabling the most accurate monitoring of how these changes evolve over time.

The advantages of modern retinal cameras compared with conventional ones include their ability to capture images that represent the fundus with exceptional accuracy. They operate fully automatically, making the imaging process very fast and more comfortable for the patient.

This device is used to monitor conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, macular oedema, retinal dystrophy and others.

Advantages

  • Most realistic images of the fundus
  • Fast and fully automatic image capture
  • Wide-angle retinal photography
  • No need for pupil dilation
  • Comfortable patient positioning
  • Non-invasive procedure
