If you have a dressing applied, keep it clean and dry, and do not remove it without your doctor’s permission. On the next day, a VISION specialist will remove it and examine the surgical wound.
For the first seven days after surgery, clean the surgical wound with gauze soaked in boiled water, ensuring no discharge or blood clots remain on the sutures.
Do not allow soap or shampoo to get on the wound for 7 days.
Apply a cold compress with boiled water three times daily for 10 minutes for at least three days after the operation. Bruising around the surgical wound will gradually disappear between the seventh and tenth day after surgery. If you smoke or suffer from a skin condition, this process may be slower.
Do not press or rub the surgical wound or eye.
You can return to your usual diet and visual tasks the day after the operation.
To protect from the sun, wear sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat for one month after the operation.
For four weeks after surgery, you must not perform heavy physical work, including fitness activities, or remain bent over for extended periods.
If you experience pain, discharge, swelling, or a decrease in your vision, contact your treating physician or the on-call doctor immediately.

- Wash your hands with soap and water.
- Gently tilt your head back.
- Carefully clean the surgical wound with boiled water.
- Apply the ointment/unguent to the surgical wound and spread it over the sutures with a cotton swab.
