Elena Kumbieva is one of the most successful hospital managers in Bulgaria. She simultaneously heads both the VISION Eye Hospital and the VISION Eye Clinic.
“A good manager builds and enriches their skills and personal behavior every single day in order to earn the trust of their colleagues — so that they listen, understand, and most importantly, believe in them,” shares Elena Kumbieva in an interview for the Bulgarian National Radio. She believes that success requires daily effort, self-challenge, and constant self-assessment.
Her greatest achievement is not merely the prestige enjoyed by the two medical institutions, nor even the team she motivates. Her true success lies in the way these young doctors and trainees rely on her at every moment — on her judgment, her leadership decisions, and her attitude toward her work.
