Dr. Elena Dardzhikova and the VISION Eye Clinic are the true heroes of my life!
They accomplished something that so many people struggle for — to see with their own eyes! To see their loved ones, their favorite places, to experience freedom.
It seems to me that we should thank more often those people — the medical professionals who fight their battles FOR US. Those doctors whom the system cannot break.
Dr. Dardzhikova took full responsibility (despite contraindications, despite doubts) and never stopped saying that everything would be fine (even while she was operating). She promised that when I left the operating room my vision would be changed, and that I would be able to play and rehearse again the very next day. And it happened!
Dr. Dardzhikova is a professional completely devoted to her mission. For her, the profession is not just a means – it is a cause. Every one of her patients is cared for and calm, because she never stops being there for them. Until the very end.
Dr. Dardzhikova is a doctor and a Person who remains forever in the mind of everyone who has ever crossed the threshold of her office and who knows the price of the battle, the trials, the pain required simply to see.
