We are delighted to share that Dr. Desislava Shikova, FEBO, is once again part of the VISION team!
Her professional focus includes the diagnosis and treatmentof cataract, glaucoma, retinal diseases, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.
In 2024, Dr. Shikova obtained the European Board of Ophthalmology Diploma (FEBO) – an internationally recognized qualification awarded by the European Board of Ophthalmology, confirming expertise at a European level. In the same year, she also completed a Master’s degree in Health Management.
Her professional experience includes working as a resident and ophthalmologist at VISION, as well as Head of Medical Activities and ophthalmologist at Preventica Medical Center.
Dr. Shikova continuously expands her knowledge and skills through specialized postgraduate training in laser therapy in ophthalmology, fluorescein angiography (FA), optical coherence tomography (OCT), and ocular ultrasonography.
